Everything I Need To Know I Learned from The Godfather

Everything I Need to know I learned from The Godfather.
Important lessons come from experience and these are the most essential of those lessons.
Number One, first and foremost: Never.. ever take sides against the family. You should never tell anyone outside the family what you are thinking.. more importantly is to spend time with your family, this is a very simple but important piece of advice.. why? Because A man who doesn't spend time with his family can never be a real man.. another lesson to be learned when heading a family, is that Blood is a big expense.. but bear in mind, If history has taught us anything, it's that you can kill anyone.. remember, A gun to someone's head can get you out of something for only a thousand dollars. When handling the family's business affairs, Keep your friends close but your enemies closer.. Always bear in mind that Friendship is everything. Friendship is more than talent. It is more than government. It is almost the equal of family. Never forget that.
Corollary to this, you must Never hate your enemies-it affects your judgement.. when in doubt, it is best to summon legal representation, for A lawyer with a briefcase can steal more than a hundred men with guns.. also Insist on hearing bad news at once.. but beware of betrayal among the ranks; there are many who seek to unseat you from your powerful position.. remember, Treason cannot be forgiven- so Whoever comes to you with the offer to meet with your enemy-he is the traitor.
Always be A reasonable man. A man who does not forget a favor.. and a man who does you a favor, until the day comes, and that day may never come, when he will ask you to perform a service for him.
