The Rock Show

Not the Blink-182 song.
Not that shallow.
I was thinking along the lines of Wings.
Not chicken wings.
But, as in, Paul McCartney & Wings, Wings.
A cut from their 1975 Venus & Mars album.
Rock Show.
It's the name of my all-new radio show on
RJUR UNDERGROUND RADIO 105.9 FM

It's a Sunday, once-a-week sabbatical kinda rock thing.
It's not just a Rock Show per se.
It goes deeper than just the name. Much deeper.
This is the stuff that Rock music was built on, the ultimate sonic foundry, if you will.
The very foundation of Rock came to fruition with these Classics.
It's the very definition of Classic Rock.

Sure, you get the tried and true, bonafide certified undeniable Classics from the likes of
The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Kinks and The Who. You've also got healthy heavy
doses of metal history with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. If you miss the music of Foghat
(a name you probably haven't heard in a while) and pre-MTV, pre-hot rod video-fueled ZZ Top, or bands like Ram Jam, Brownsville Station, Black Oak Arkansas.. or some genuine redneck faves from the Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Atlanta Rhythm Section, they're all here. How about some jazzed-up funky blues with a rock feel the way only Steely Dan can do, or the latin-flavored rock of Santana.. and let's not forget our very own homegrown brand of Pinoy Rock classics from Wally Gonzalez, Petrified Anthem and a dizzying myriad of music too many to mention.

In a nutshell, just tune in and lock it into 105.9 FM on Sunday and get the buzz!
Just look for Mr. A.. The Mole.. Sleepy John.. Cousin Hoagy.. and of course, Peanuts.
That's me.
Rock on.
